How to Find Hot Products on Walmart and Sell on Other Marketplaces?

You have all the information to start dropshipping from Walmart to eBay. But what you sell in the first place. This is where product research comes into play. There are various tools you can use to find in demand products such as ZIK Analytics and DSM etc. However, I have a completely different approach to finding those hot items. You can use both automatic and manual methods.

Here’s my manual method that works:

Walmart Products to Sell

Best Sellers Page: On the Walmart website, you’ll see the “Best Sellers” section. Click that and filter through different categories you’re interested in. You can start with those items first, without complicating the process.

“Trending Now” Section: There are some other sections on Walmart such as Toys or Electronics, where they have this “Trending Now” section. This section highlights what items are trending now. This is also a great way to find some hot items.

Daily Deals: Walmart has been “generous” enough to offer items at a discounted price. These can be found in the “Daily Deals” section. Not only are people looking to buy those items at a discount, which will increase the demand, but you also get them at cheaper price and make even more profit.

Customer Reviews: One of the best methods to find hot products is to see which ones are being talked about. In the ecommerce space, you can recognise them by the number of positive reviews and customer ratings. You can filter items based on a specific rating and find some good products to dropship on eBay.

Reverse Method to Find Hot Items on eBay

You can also use this reverse method of finding what best sells on the target marketplace and start selling more of those. As you will be selling the items on eBay, let’s see how you can manually find best items on eBay to then sell on there.

1. eBay Trending Section
eBay has a trending section called “Trending on eBay” which you can find on the homepage or under the “Discover” categories. In this section, you’ll find products that have high demand and are popular? Isn’t it what you want to sell?

2. eBay’s “Research” Tool
With your seller account, you can access the “Research” section by going to your eBay Seller Hub and use the “Hot Items” tool to view those top selling items in different categories. You can also filter products based on pricing, category, and rating etc.

3. Sold Items
If you have ever followed Gary Vee’s garage sale videos, you’ll know this method of finding items. You can basically look up any item on eBay and filter them by “Sold Listings.” This will show you those specific or similar items sold by other sellers.

Listing Products from Walmart to Other Marketplace

After you have done your research and know exactly what to sell, you can start listing on the target marketplace.

How to List manually?

So the manual listing method is as follows:
1. Go to Walmart website and click on the product you want to dropship.
2. Download product images, copy product title and product description.
3. Open eBay listing page and paste all images, write title, description etc.
4. Fill out all relevant details and proceed to list your item.

While this seems pretty straight forward, the process becomes pretty daunting and time consuming. Especially if you’re listing dozens of items daily. To succeed with dropshipping from Walmart to other marketplaces such as eBay, Etsy, Poshmark, Depop, Mercari, and Facebook Marketplace, you have to automate the listing process.
